BVB thrash Bayern in Challenge
Borussia Dortmund edged out rivals Bayern Munich 6-0 in the Bundesliga’s Cross Bar Challenge.
The aim is to hit the crossbar from 16 metres out and features all the 17 Bundesliga teams. Clubs select five players to represent them and each club gets 15 attempts to hit the target.
Dortmund finished top of the standings with a total of six direct hits and were closely followed by Werder , who found the target five times.
BVB were represented by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Erik Durm, Adrian Ramos and Ciro Immobile.
TSG Hoffenheim who finished ninth last season, finished third in the challenge, tied on four hits with Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha BSC.
Five teams managed three hits each and six other teams could only get a total of two hits.
The league champions Bayern finished at the bottom of the standings without even a single hit. The defending champions picked Robert Lewandowski, Dante, David Alaba, Javi Martinez and Jerome Boateng to represent them.
